Colin Powell's speech to the UN in 2003 seems to be the iconic start of a ongoing war that has burned not only the entire region but also cities far beyond it to this day. Apart from the content of his speech, his performance is of an unprecedented class. Musical, confident American rhetoric at its best. Smooth dude Powell swings, seduces, twists, clinks and begs you to go to a place you never expected to come.

In 2005, Powell himself said he regretted his UN speech. "It's blot on my record," he said in a conversation with television channel ABC. "There were people at the Secret Service who knew at the time that some sources were not reliable and they did not tell me. That destroyed me, ”said the ex-minister. He completely ignores all the suffering that he caused indirectly with his speech. It's blood on his record.
